Handprinted Masi Wall Hanging - Salusalu, Vatu

$24

Painted Barkcloth (masi kesa) is often referred to using the general term tapa. This cloth-like material is derived from the inner bark of certain species of the mulberry tree. Practiced almost exclusively by women, masi making is one of the most important and diverse art forms in Polynesia.

This piece of art is screenprinted by our Studio Print team, a job training program for rural and remote youth in Fiji.
